Trainee programme at Deutsche Leasing

In 18 months, we will teach you the basics you need to start with. That is how long our trainee programmes last, focusing on risk management, sales or business support. During this period, you will get a thorough grounding in our core business and take part in an individual qualification programme.
 
We are a member of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the biggest financial services provider in the world. And as we have subsidiaries on every continent, you can look forward to an exciting overseas work placement.

More than just a graduate entry programme

Our trainee programmes are the first building block in your career with a global company. After all this learning and experience, you will find many doors in the company open to you.

 

Optimally you bring...

  • a degree in business studies, ideally specialising in finance (university/applied sciences/sandwich course)
  • practical experience from previous vocational training or work placements
  • good communication-skills and client-focus
  • analytical skills
  • have a very good knowledge of English and international know-how (term/work placement abroad)

     

Our selection process

  1. Receipt of application
    Please use our career portal to hand in a full application file, consisting of a cover letter, your CV and your references. You find the applicant login on the right.
  2. Pre-selection
    We make an initial selection on the basis of the applications submitted.
  3. Telephone call
    We get to know each other for the first time in a telephone call.
  4. Get together
    A get together with the Top Management will give you the chance to find out about your prospects with Deutsche Leasing.
  5. Assessment centre
    The next day you can show us what you are capable of at our assessment centre and we can get to know one another better.
  6. Offer of contract
    If you have passed all the hurdles successfully, you will be offered a contract.
  7. Start of trainee programme
    After signing the contract, you will start your trainee programme at Deutsche Leasing on 1 April, with professional on-boarding support. Due to the module structure of our trainee programme, a different start date is not possible.

Trainee programme in sales (nationwide)

We are proud to be a sought-after business partner and to put forward-looking ideas into practice with our clients. If you want to contribute to our success, you should take part in the sales trainee programme.

As a member of our expert team, you will:

  • Provide advice on and sell our investment solutions
  • Devise and implement marketing strategies
  • Serve existing clients and win new ones
  • Value company-specific data for calculating deals 
  • Manage projects and complex processes

Trainee programme in risk management (Location: Bad Homburg)

We have to manage credit, asset, operational and liquidity risks, but our aim is always to optimise the company’s success and, thus, to increase shareholder value. As a trainee, you will quickly gain an insight into our company’s risk policy.

As a member of our expert team, you will:

  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Take credit decisions
  • Process credit applications for mobile or immobile investment assets
  • Research assets and review purchases
  • Manage projects and complex processes

Trainee programme in business support (location: DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing GmbH, Mainz)

Do you like the idea of being actively involved in implementing large-scale projects? Of taking the client’s individual wishes and plans into account without losing sight of Deutsche Leasing’s interests as owner or financier? Would you like to manage the entire life cycle of a contract? Then the exciting and varied challenges in business support are just right for you.

Business support is the first partner of the sales team when it comes to implementing complex transactions. Optimal contract structures have to be found that reflect the individuality of every single project. You will work closely with the client, the sales colleague, other internal departments and external advisers.

As a member of our expert team, you will:

  • Structure contracts in the course of implementing concrete financing transactions
  • Conduct negotiations with clients and banks, from the risk decision through to the end of the contract
  • Provide support for the implementation and execution of the transaction once the contract is signed 
  • Assist with the implementation of repeat business

Working in an international environment within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe is particularly important for me. So after my banking apprenticeship and my degree at the Savings Bank University, I decided to complete a trainee programme at a company in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe with international operations.
 
DL’s good reputation and its certified international trainee programme have completely conformed to my expectations. As an applicant, they always gave me a very good feeling, from the first contact with the human resources department through to the assessment centre. I was also very impressed by the friendly atmosphere at the get together and the opportunity of talking with the Executive Board members and various divisional directors.
 
In addition to the series of professional and personal development seminars, the different assignments within the trainee programme provide a good basis for building a strong network within various divisions and business units at DL. The two-month assignment at our subsidiary
Deutsche Leasing Italia in Milan was - besides all the very special experiences and impressions I gained over the last few months - one of the highlights for me.
