The company specialized in design and construction of tunnels, landslide protection and strengthening structures in earthquake-prone areas and the major market leader in the transportation infrastructure development sector in the south of Russia has decided to acquire 2 drilling rigs manufactured by German machine-building corporation, the world leader in the respective industry for performance of large infrastructural projects, including those under the preparation for the winder Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi.

The company had its own funds to purchase the drilling machines but found it economically inadvisable to finance them through its turnover. Supplier, the Deutsche Leasing Vostok's global vendor, has proposed to consider the possibility of financing the deal through leasing and recommended Deutsche Leasing Vostok as Lessor. As a result of the tender for leasing companies with most attractive conditions the company has chosen the offer of Deutsche Leasing Vostok. The project terms were very pressed, nevertheless Deutsche Leasing Vostok managed to fund the deal directly from Germany within 2 week and arranged the delivery just in time.

The cumultative after-customs cost of the drilling rigs with the delivery to the industrial site in Sochi amounted to 4,1 Mln EUR (hereinafter all figures are stated without VAT). Taking into account all risks resulting from project review Deutsche Leasing Vostok has proposed the company to make 20 % advance payment which amounted to 820 TEUR. The agreed lease term was 48 month. The cumultative leasing rental (for both drilling rigs) including property tax and insurance costs totaled 87,2 TEUR.
