Due to technical development, the consequences of our action cover an enormous range – both in terms of space and time. Philosopher Hans Jonas wrote in his book "Prinzip Verantwortung“ for example that man today with his technical potential possesses a hitherto unknown power which he has to handle responsibly.
To fulfil this responsibility, we believe it is imperative to apply new methods to energy supply. The long-term security of our energy supply too requires new solutions: fossil fuels will be exhausted before long. Society should be prepared.
