The management of the Deutsche Leasing Group has issued a company-wide internal Guideline on Information Security to underscore the high importance of information security within the company.

The Guideline defines the strategy to ensure information security and to align all company activity in this area. Deutsche Leasing runs an Information Security Management System in accordance with the 'Secure IT Operations' (SITB) framework drawn up by the Information Technology Center of the Sparkasse Banks (SIZ, Bonn). This framework is aligned with the internationally recognized standard 'ISO 27001' published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO, Geneva) and the 'IT Baseline Protection Manual' published by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI, Bonn) and well-established in Germany. The framework also meets several other statutory requirements and industry-specific standards.

Since 2005 Deutsche Leasing's information technology operations are aligned to the SITB framework. In 2008 for the first time and 2011 at last, the certification process of SIZ confirms that security of IT operations is effective and adequate .
