Leasing in France
The legal bases for movable-goods leasing are laid down in the Code Monétaire et Financier. According to this code Crédit-bail mobilier is a hire agreement for commercially used equipment. With this in mind, in 2003 French businesses invested some 20.5 billion euros in the equipment-leasing sector - a decrease of about 0.3 percent on the previous year. In 1994 Deutsche Leasing AG set up the subsidiary Deutsche Leasing France. Its purpose? To assist German exporters in their French ventures, while enabling us to optimally support our French customers. Deutsche Leasing France also works with local leasing companies in order to provide our customers and partners with a wider range of products (e.g. credit-bail).
