–  The real GDP has more than doubled between 1995 and 2005.

–  Between 1995 and 2005 the external trade volume has increased from USD 280 billion to 1,420 billion.
–  Recently the FX reserves of China have exceeded USD 1,000 billion.

The close trade trade relations between China and Germany are also reflected in increasing trading figures with the trading balance recently in favour of China. Direct investment, namely from Germany to China, has grown over the years as well.
